The hygiene guarantee is completed with the treatment of the sands and the daily cleaning of all beaches during the summer season - normally from mid-June to the first half of September.

These beaches have also been equipped with all the necessary services for your enjoyment, such as lifeguards, a first aid kit, marked areas for boats, information, showers... and of course the beach bars where you can enjoy the culinary delights of the area right on the beach.

All these circumstances mean that, year after year, the beaches of El Puerto are the favourites of thousands of visitors.

In the quiet of the El Puerto wineries (OSBORNE Y Cía.; Luis CABALLERO; Emilio LUSTAU; Fernando A. de TERRY (Domecq Group); González OBREGÓN; GRANT, Las Siete Esquinas; Gutiérrez COLOSÍA; Miguel M. GÓMEZ; 501 de El Puerto; C. y J. de TERRY) wines are aged using the traditional and classic “criaderas and soleras” system that range from the pale and dry Fino, to the sugary Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel, through to the sharp and exquisite Amontillados and the aromatic and old Olorosos.

Fino wine is considered a jewel of world viticulture, and this is because it is a wine that has undergone organic aging. A unique case in the world of wine.

The climatic conditions are particularly important for the ageing of Fino wine. The proximity and orientation, open to the Atlantic, of the wine-growing lands of El Puerto give its musts unique flavour and fragrance characteristics.

Fino wine is unique and incomparable and El Puerto is, due to its coastal and river location, the city most favored by nature for the production of this organic and biological wine.

El Puerto is known as “the city of Fino wine”.

All the wineries on the Ruta de los Criadores de Vino Fino that produce wines under the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry designation of origin will allow you to delve into the fascinating culture of this wine: its biological aging under a “veil of flor”, its peculiar “criaderas and soleras” system, its rich winery architecture, its interesting history, its tasting and sampling techniques, its gastronomic combinations.
